30A Window Washing

Tall and hard-to-reach glass

Skylight and high window cleaning on 30A.

Upper-story glass, transoms and tower windows cleaned from the ground with a water-fed pole. Skylights only where the pole can reach them.

Tall beach houses put a lot of glass out of reach: third-floor Gulf-view windows, stairwell glass, transoms over porches, tower rooms. It gets the same salt as the rest of the house and usually gets cleaned the least.

We clean it the same way as the rest of the outside: with a water-fed pole from the ground, a deck or a balcony. The pole carries filtered water up to a brush, so high glass is scrubbed, rinsed and left to dry without spots. This is pole work. Roof work isn't part of it.

Skylights depend on where they sit. One on a low roof section near a deck or balcony can often be reached with the pole. One in the middle of a high or steep roof usually can't, and we'll tell you that at the quote instead of trying.

High glass isn't priced as a separate service. It's counted with the rest of your windows when you get a quote for exterior window cleaning.

What’s included

  • Upper-story glass

Second- and third-floor windows, balcony doors and Gulf-view walls, reached from the ground or a deck.

  • Transoms and tower windows

Small high panes over doors and in tower rooms, where the pole can reach.

  • Skylights within reach

Only skylights the pole can reach from the ground, a deck or a balcony.

How it works

  1. 01

    Check the reach

At the quote we go over the high glass and tell you about anything the pole can't get to.

  2. 02

    Scrub and rinse

The brush works the glass and frame while filtered water flows, then each pane is rinsed.

  3. 03

    Look from below

Tall panes are checked from the ground and from inside, where streaks are easiest to see.

Common questions

Can you clean third-story windows?
Most third-floor glass is within the pole's reach from the ground. Anything higher, or glass over a roof section, we'll look at before promising.
How are skylights reached?
With the pole, from the ground, a deck or a balcony. If a skylight can only be reached by getting on the roof, we can't clean the outside of it.
Why do my skylights look green at the edges?
Low-slope glass holds moisture, pollen and debris, and in this humidity that can grow algae along the frame. If it comes back fast, check that the skylight drains.
How often should high windows be cleaned?
On the same schedule as the rest of the outside glass. Salt reaches the third floor as easily as the first.
